Harambee stars and Saint Georges of Ethiopia goalie has been in hospital for more than two weeks now after he was involved in a road accident together with his wife and son. The shot stopper who helped Kenya to qualify for the African cup of nations was outstanding in the competition after he saved Sadio Mane's penalty and a number of saves for the team.
Matasi has however had a rough time after the accident where he has been forced to stay in hospital as a result of medical bills.
He has been on holiday after the Ethiopian league came to an end.An appeal from the football player has been doing rounds on media asking Kenyans to help him pay the bills. As it was reported by Jeff Kinyanjui a reknown sports journalist and writer in the country, he is appealing to Kenyans to come through for the shot stopper.Matasi is one of the many Kenyan sportsmen who has done alot for the country and he deserves more from us.Any amount of money could be of support for Matawi during this trying moments of his life.
