The Liverpool football club best center back Virgil van Dijk will miss the next few matches for the club due to a short term injury.
Van Dijk obtained the injury on Monday when they were playing against Brentford in the premier league competition. According to reports from B/R Football it is said that the player obtained a hamstring injury during the game against Brentford and he was subbed off for with his counterpart Matip.
Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager initially said the substitution was merely a precaution but subsequent checks have now confirmed a hamstring injury for Van Dijk, who could now be set to miss the rest of the month.Further check up this week will give a clearer indication as to how long Van Dijk will be out of action for his team.
Liverpool are still trailing with Many injuries affecting their performance in the premier league, and with the absence of Van Dijk the team will loose a key fighter for the team.
