Mikel Arteta will now be forced to take keener interest in Gianluca Scamacca after Fiorentina successfully signed Luka Jovic from Real Madrid. The Italian giants were very meticulous in their method of transfer negotiations and that played a big part in expediting the talks to a pace that Arsenal were not anticipating. Scammaca on the other hand has not been approached by a worthwhile club and Arsenal have been overly passive about their intentions of signing the player.
Inside sources at the club have revealed that Mikel Arteta has preserved the player as a plan B next summer incase the deal for Gabriel Jesus turns out to be in shambles. Scammaca has no problems joining another club provided he is given the adequate amount of time to play on the pitch.
From the looks of things, Arsenal are apparently planning to offer Lucas Torreira to Olympique Marseille after talks with Fiorentina over a permanent transfer collapsed. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian giants could not honor the agreement they had earlier made with Arsenal regarding the player’s buyout clause not to mention asking the midfielder to give them a discount in the player’s weekly salary which is unacceptable in all accounts. Marseille have been very satisfied so far with the players Arsenal have been offer to them and Torreira will definitely not be an exception.
The 25 year old is adamant about joining a new club this summer and doesn’t mind joining any since he wants to make a good impression that will guarantee him a place Uruguay’s starting eleven for the World Cup.
