Tuchel comments on Lukaku’s performance

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has had some struggles with his forwards not performing during crucial league games.

The main problem has been players being kept out of matches due to testing positive for Covid19 and a series of injuries of his key wing-backs.

The German’s style of play requires the wing-backs to be part of the attack and supply crosses to the frontmen.

Since Tuchel lost his wing-backs to Injuries. He has had a tough time getting the best out of Romelu Lukaku.

In a pre-match interview Tuchel talked about how he feels about both Harry Kane and Romelu who have not had the best form by only having five goals this season.

Thomas said. ‘We have a pretty clear picture of what Romelu can do, can offer to our game and how we want to include him into our game, and we can clearly improve on that.'

He added that.‘I remember with Harry Kane I heard a lot of criticism about him at the beginning of the season but in the end, he is what he is. He's a goalscorer. I don't know it but I assume he did this for the whole life of his career.’

The gaffer believes that natural goalscorers will always remain to be natural goalscorer and Kane and Lukaku have shown that they can be relied on to score goals for the team in the highest level.

Will Tuchel be able to get the best out of the Belgian international?
