KENYA: Harambee Stars Defender Joins One of Top League For a Nine-month Contract

The former Admiral, Bandari and Tusker defender Abud Omar has joined Greek second-tier side Ionikos FC after agreeing a nine-month contract. Player has been unattached from 2019 when he left Romanian club Selsi SG . The Player has been training with Belgium club for around one year now. The 28 year-old has been working hard on training to see that he plays again .

The club has confirmed that on it's official website "It is with great pleasure that we announce the start of our cooperation with Aboud Omar.This is a very important transfer move for our team especially after promotion to the second-tier. The family of Ionic welcomes Abud Omar and wishes him health, strength and every success at the club."


Kenyan international Abud Omar has expressed his delight after sealing a move to Greek side PAE Ionikos.

Omar came out positively and happily to thank his supporters and family . He also said that is keen to work with the club to see that it moves to another level . His communication with club's official was great and he is very happy to return on the pitch to do what he loves .
