It is now common knowledge that Rwanda's president Paul Kagame is a big Arsenal fan.He once got tongues wagging after he publicly outcried Arsenal's below par performance on the opening day of the season losing to newly promoted Brentford. One of the shirt sponsors for Arsenal is Rwanda Airways and this is also part of why he is so attached to the club.
This time round, Kagame is back on the headlines but not for criticising Arsenal but praising them.Kagame appreciated the job that Arsenal had done in defeating Tottenham Hotspur convincingly in the North London derby. He gave credit where it was due.
Fans were quick to react as some appreciated his post while others elicited contrast reactions. One asked him to organize a football match between African presidents.Another told him to remove the curfew for the Rwandans only for today. The reactions came from some Kenyans and even Rwandans.
Another told him that London is still blue.Majority showed appreciation for his tweet.
