Manchester city are now ready to re-open contract extension talks with their 26 year-old England defender John Stones. The contract extension is to serve as a reward to Stones for his latest vital role in Pep Guardiola's title charge. Manchester City are five points ahead of Second placed Manchester United with a game in hand.
Pep Guardiola is also considering elevating his Goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes to the official penalty taker. City have missed three out of seven penalties awarded this season and this could be attributed to the major injuries suffered by his main takers: Segio Kun Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne who are both on the sidelines.
The EPL Leaders Man City have not given up their hopes on signing Argentine forward Lionel Messi, but the club is prepared to wait until April before making an official inquiry on Messi's availability in the summer.
Real Madrid are planning on selling the French Defender, Raphael Varane, in the summer if the latter does not agree to a contract extension in order to prevent him from walking away as a free agent Next summer.
