Germany International Antonio Rudiger was the key defender and man behind London club Chelsea's recent success.
His incredible defending saw the blues win the champions league,Uefa super cup and the club world cup.The blues however lost the defender during this transfer signing to Spanish giants Real Madrid after he completed his contract. However,Chelsea can find retribution if they sign this world class defender who can fill up the big shoes left behind by Rudiger. He is none other than Netherlands and Juventus current centre back Matthijs De Ligt.De Ligt has been exceptional for Juventus ever since he joined back in 2019.He leads all Serie A defenders in terms of interceptions made, clearances made out of his box,key passes completed and tackles made.
Not only is he good in defending but also in scoring and assisting something that Rudiger lacked. He is younger which means he is going to get better something that Chelsea can capitalise on.
