Kenya Sevens were first to score, when Vincent Onyala 'The Gazelle' ran an elusive line past the Canadian defence, and dotted the ball down in the corner to take the scores to 5-0. The ensuing conversion was missed.
Two minutes later, Canada's response was quite brutal, as Coats C powered his way to the tryline and shortly after converted his own try, to take the scores to 7-5 in favour of Canada. The Canadians were not done yet as they quickly added two tries, and managedto convert one just before the break. This further extended their lead to 19-5.
In the Second half, Kenya 7s were the dominant side, scoring two tries through Onyala and Captain Nelson Oyoo. They however only managed one conversion, halting their comeback. The game ended 19-17 in favour of Canada.
