Harambee Stars Drops Rank In The Latest FIFA Rankings after A Streak Of Poor Results

The Kenya National Football team, Harambee Stars has dropped to position 104 in the latest FIFA ranking, garnering a total of 1189 points.

This is after recent matches which saw Harambee Stars lose two international matches to Mali, in World Cup qualifiers. Harambee Stars lost to Mali 5-0 in the first leg played in Morocco and lost 1-0 in the return leg played at Nyayo Stadium in Kenya.

This news will be heart breaking to the Harambee Stars fans, who had high hopes after the Football Kenya Federation appointed new coach in Engin Firat. It is also mounting pressure on FKF to backtrack their recent appointments, which have seen Harambee Stars fail to qualify for AFCON 2022 and on course to fail to qualify for the next round of qualification to World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Leading the FIFA rankings is Belgium, who have a total of 1832 points. Following in second is Brazil who have a total of 1820 points and in third are the UEFA Nations winners France with 1779 points.

Italy have climbed to position 4 with 1751 points while England have dropped to position 5 with 1750 points. In sixth place with 1739 points and unchanged is Argentina, with seventh place occupied by Spain with 1688 points. Portugal have dropped to 8th with 1682 points while Mexico is unchanged at ninth with 1673 points and Denmark occupies the 10th spot with 1669 points.

Leading in Africa is Senegal with 1565 points who are 20th worldwide. The second place in Africa is Tunisia with 1525 points and in 27th place worldwide. In third place in the African Continent is Morocco with 1513 points and 29th worldwide. Harambee Stars are languishing in 21st position in Africa.
