David Otieno has signed a two-year long contract with Batoto Ba Mungu, the 2009 league winners. The aim is to beef up the defence as he is an experienced defender and so with his acquisition that will be achieved.
Today being the final day of player transfers, Sofapaka were lucky to acquire the services of Wazito. The club revealed in a statement that they are glad to announce the signing of David Otieno, who joins on a two-year deal after joining the club from Wazito Fc.
Last season, Sofapaka were gruppling to strike their name off the FIFA red list, and now the club has managed to sign other players to strengthen their squad after close to 10 players left towards the end of last season.
The head coach, Kennedy Odhiambo, has shopped for local players, perhaps after losing millions in compensation to their former foreign players who rushed to FIFA seeking justice.
The player is expected to compete for playing time with Elvis Ronack, Stephen Okola, and David Nshimiriamana.
