According to German sports magazine Sport Bild, Manchester United are targeting German and Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka as a free transfer next summer and reports suggests that a lucrative contract offer has been submitted by the England heavyweight to lure the star into switching to Old Trafford.
The 26 year old has less than 12 months left on his current contract deal with the Bundesliga giants which is set to expire in June 2022 and is yet to renew his contract with the club claiming that he want a huge salary close to €20 million to match that of Leroy Sane.
The midfielder has turned down an offer close to €12 million from Bayern Munich and Manchester United are keen to sign the player after meeting his agent and a concrete offer has been placed on the table for the star to accept and move to England in 2022.
Ole Gunnar has been keen trying to strengthen his midfield after players like Paul Pogba have linked with a move away from the club, and Goretzka is viewed as the perfect addition to the squad if he signs for United.
