Man Utd: Magpies to Hijack Major Transfer Plan, Ragnick's Word of Advice, Lindelof At Wit's End

Darwin Nunez

Reliable sources have indicated that Manchester United will face a new opposition in the race to sign highly rated Darwin Nunez from Benfica in the summer. It is believed that Eddie Howe has set his sights firm on the young Uruguayan striker who brags a €67 Million price tag on his head. Manchester United will now have to ramp up their efforts in signing the coveted striker as the club seeks to find a permanent replacement for out-of-form Edinson Cavani who will leave the club at the end of the season.

Darwin Nunez has been an outstanding figure for Benfica this season, particularly his perfomance in the Champions League where he utilized his sharp skills to full effect consequently pushing Benfica to the Quarterfinal of the competitions where Liverpool unfortunately cut their ambitious run short.

Ralf Ragnick

Ralf Ragnick has insisted that inorder for Manchester United to finish in the top four, they must up their defensive play. This not only goes to the defenders, but to all the other outfield players. This follows after the German tactician noticed that against Norwich, the defensive lines were easily penetrated by Teemu Pukki who was the main orchestrator of the two goals that were scored by the underdog club. Ahead of Liverpool, he has advised his players that tightening their defense should be the priority because the Reds are versatile when it comes to attack.

"I know for a fact that Mohammed Salah and Co will not be making it any easy for us. We have to cement our defense to the greatest of our abilities or else Liverpool will succumb us. We have very good defenders but their coordination with the other players when it comes to defensive duties is very weak."

Victor Lindelof

Sources inside Manchester United have revealed that Swedish international Victor Lindelof is planning to leave the club at the end of the season inorder to search for greener pastures. A number of clubs have already been reported to be snooping around for the services of the defender, including Inter Milan where Filippo Inzaghi is believed to be a huge admirer of the 26 year old.
