Harambee Stars' defender Brian Mandela continues to shine for his club Mamelodi Sundowns. Mandela is known by many Kenyans after he helped Stars to qualify for the African Cup of Nations in Cairo Egypt in 2019.
Today, his team hosted Maniema from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the CAF Champions League 2nd leg. Sundowns forward Lakay Lyle netted the first goal in the 23rd minute after a fine through pass from Domingo Haashim. Shalule Peter added the second one in the 53rd minute.
In the first leg in Kinshasa, the two teams drew 2-2. Today's win meant that Mamelodi qualified on 4-2 aggregate.
In my view, our players are representing the country extremely well. This means that we have talents.
