Arsenal: Ødegaard is a Done Deal, Bissouma to Sign New Contract, New Addition to the Staff

Martin Odegaard

Martin Ødegaard’s transfer move is a done deal after Fabrizio Romano reported that a significant breakthrough was made in yesterday’s meeting between the Norwegian's agent and Arsenal representatives. Romano said that every important detail in the deal was agreed upon and Ødegaard’s reunion with Arsenal is all but certain.

Arsenal had always maintained Ødegaard as their priority signing despite rumors claiming that James Maddison was Arsenal’s number one target for the attacking midfielder position. Arsenal is currently expediting the paperwork so that the Norwegian is available in Arsenal’s game against Chelsea on Sunday.

Yves Bissouma

According to BILD Sports, Arsenal’s transfer target Yves Bissouma has divulged to his teammates that he is bound to sign a new contract with the Seagulls if no English club approaches him. The €40 Million rated midfielders has been instrumental in Graham Porter’s team and it would be a big blow for the club to lose him this season.

Arsenal had been keeping close tabs on the midfielder but after the Gunners delved into Ben White’s transfer, their interest in Bissouma correspondingly dwindled at a significant rate. The signing of Sambi Lokonga also knocked off the wind from the sails of Arsenal’s pursuit to sign Bissouma because both players have the same player profile.

Tino Lima

In a bid to add quality and depth to their squad, Arsenal have recruited renowned scout Tino Lima who infamously discovered Phillipe Coutinho and Neymar. Lima will now head Arsenal’s scout team in Spain as the Gunners seek to strengthen their squad and maintain their quality.
