It is a big blow to Chelsea as Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku will miss the next two games against Norwich and Southampton following their injury which they got while playing Champions league match against Malmo on Wednesday.
Romelu Lukaku hurt his ankle in the clash against Malmo while Timo Werner suffered hamstring injury. Chelsea face tomorrow on Saturday without the service of the two strikers. American winger Christian Pulisic will also miss the clash against Norwich as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
The latest update comes days after the Chelsea Boss tried to make sense of Lukaku's goal drought. In the build up of the game against Malmo, Tuchel said mental tiredness could be a factor in Lukaku's bluntness Infront of goal. Lukaku had to leave the Belgian camp early because of muscle fatigue. Chelsea are currently on top of the premier league with six wins from their opening eight games in the 2021/2022 season.
