Manchester City bounced back to winning ways in the English Premier League with a big win over London-based club Chelsea. The Citizens scored one goal against the Blues to move to second place in the league but have the same number of points as league leaders Liverpool.
Gabriel Jesus scored the winning goal to end Thomas Tuchel's winning run. Chelsea's forwards were nowhere to be seen in the match and managed no shot on target at Stamford Bridge. Romelu Lukaku who has been the star player for the Blues didn't make any impact in the match.
Lukaku was not in the match and lack of creativity cost the Blues much. Tuchel played Timo Werner alongside Romelu Lukaku but the two stars couldn't break Manchester City's defense. Portuguese center-back Ruben Dias was amazing at the back and made sure Chelsea won't create anything or find the back of the net.
Dias proved today why he was named Premier League player of the season last season after helping the Citizens win the league. He was amazing against Thomas Tuchel's men and his defensive skills and a couple of blocks to ensure the Premier League holders go second but on the same number of points as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
The loss to the Blues is the first loss since the loss in FA Cup final to Leicester City last season. They had managed to beat Pep Guardiola three times in a row last season including the Champions League final. However, Pep Guardiola bounced back well this season ensuring he managed to beat the Blues
