Big Changes in La Liga Table After Barcelona Won 3-1, See Real Madrid New Position

Barcelona battered Villareal 3-1 at Ceramica Stadium to claim their second successive La Liga victory under new manager Xavi Hernandez. Barcelona opened the scores in the 48th minute through Frank De Jong after a goalless first half draw before Chukwueze equalized in the 76th minute after clever assist from Danjuma. Barcelona pushed for a victory as Memphis Depay scored the second goal in the 88th minute before Phillipe Coutinho ended his goal drought in the 94th minute through a penalty to seal all the 3 points for the visitors. After the 3-1 victory, Barcelona moved up to position 7 in the La Liga table with 23 points while Villareal dropped to position 12 with 16 points.

Real Madrid are currently at the top of La Liga table with 30 points ahead of their Sunday block-buster fixture against 3rd placed Sevilla. Valencia drew 1-1 against Rayo Vallecano to climb up to position 9 with 19 points while Getafe were held into a goalless draw by Mallorca to climb up to position 19 with 10 points. Celta saw off Alaves 2-1 at home, goals courtesy of Aspas and Santi Mina to climb up to position 13 in the La Liga table with 16 points.
