Top 10 Best Stadiums in Kenya

1. Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani

The multi-purpose stadium was built in 1987 for All-Africa Games. It holds a capacity of 60000 and it is the home for Mathare United and Tusker FC. It hosted the 2017 World U18 Championships in Athletics. The 2019 AFCON qualifiers were also held here where Kenya and Togo settled for a draw.

2. Nyayo National Stadium

It is located at the square of Mombasa Road and Langata Road. It was built in 1983 and has a capacity of 30000. AFC Leopards use here as their home ground. Athletics, swimming and gymnastics are also hosted in this facility. Major national ceremonies are held. Mwamba RFC club play their most matches here as their home. It hosted the 2010 Africa Championships in Athletics.

3. Bukhungu Stadium

It has a capacity of 5000 and is located in Kakamega county. It is the home of Western Stima club.

4. Afraha Stadium

It was opened in 1948 and holds up to 8200 people. It is the home for Nakuru All Stars and Ulinzi Stars. Political gatherings are also held in Afraha.

5. Muhoroni Stadium

The stadium was built in 2000 and has a capacity of 20000. Muhoroni Youth uses this stadium as their home ground.

6. Moi Kinoru Stadium

It has a capacity of 10000 and most political activities are held here. Major sports such as football are played here.

7. Nairobi City Stadium

The stadium is located in Meru and has a capacity of 15000. Soccer matches are played here.

8. Kenyatta Stadium

Kenyatta Stadium has a capacity of 10000 and is located in Machakos.

9. Mombasa Municipal Stadium

It is in Mombasa county with a capacity of 10000.

10. Kipchoge Keino Stadium

Located in Eldoret and has a capacity of 10000. It was named after the marathon hero Kipchoge Keino.
