Antonio Rudiger has been a 'beast' in Chelsea's defence. The German has been rejuvenated since Thomas Tuchel took in charge of Chelsea's managerial job. He is solid and physically strong while playing on the left side of back 3 defence. Rudiger is a nonsense defender. This has been demonstrated by his crucial blocks, hard and strong physical tackles.
Unfortunately, Rudiger has only 12 months left on his current contract with Chelsea. The Blues directors have been working hard and tirelessly to renew Rudiger's contract. According to multiple sources, The 28 year old defender wants his wages to be increased upto around 170,000 pounds per week. This is the condition he has gave Chelsea for his contract renewal. However Chelsea are not ready to offer such wages to the German defender. This might be risky since Rudiger will negotiate with others big clubs in Europe who are interested in his services. It is roumoured that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have shown an interest for Rudiger.
Spanish outlet Marca reports that Antonio Rudiger has no intention of signing a new contract with Chelsea.
"Chelsea's German center-back has decided not to renew his contract at Stamford Bridge and is planning on leaving the European Championship on a free transfer at the end of the season." Marca reported.
