Harambee Stars players abroad performed well yesterday; some of them have been named in the final travelling squad to Morocco for Mali's encounter in the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Thursday, 7th October 2021.
Kenyan international midfielder Ismael Gonzalez capped his Real Murcia debut with a goal. The former Las Palmas player scored the sole goal in their match against Alzira in the Spanish third-tier.
Ismael was recalled into the Harambee Stars squad by new head coach Engin Firat.
Conversely, Justin Dhillon provided an assist as his side San Antonio won. The Kenyan forward came off the bench to inspire San Antonio to a 1-0 victory over Oklahoma City Energy in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship.
Justin Dhillion, 26 was introduced in place of Nathan Uiliam Fogaca in the 60th minute.
It was a bad week for Kenyan international Joseph Okumu as his Belgian side KAA Gent suffered a 1-0 loss to Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. The former Chemelil Sugar player featured in the entire match for his side which had a player less as from the 33rd minute.
