Manchester United has had one of their worst premier league performances this season as they lost by five goals to Liverpool today. It was a very poor performance as they were very exposed defensively and did very little in terms of their attacking output. The performance especially defensively was horrible as the manchester United defence looked disoriented. Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has sent an apology to Manchester United fans for the poor performance.
Maguire’s individual performance was horrible and the defender did not try to sugarcoat it but accepted the blame as he promised to improve. He thanked the Manchester United supporters for their unwavering support that saw them through the match despite their poor performance. "I will be looking at my individual performance than the team. To concede five in a game at Old Trafford is nowhere near good enough.” Maguire told BBC.
He also went ahead to state that he will take the responsibility as the captain to reflect and get his players together so that they can be able to stick together. "I am the captain and we have to stick together, we have to look at each other than look at yourself in the mirror." He added.
