Agnes Tirop was one of the well known Kenyan athletes and her untimely demise has left a wound to many who were so close to her. Basically, the young girl has stayed in the Moi Teaching and Referral morgue for over one week. Her parents were waiting for an autopsy to be done and results revealed that she was brutally killed. Today, relatives woke up very early and accompanied her parents to the morgue so that they can officially pick her body. She spent some hours in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county and people basically wanted to view the body of this athlete who often represented them well. Tirop's body is currently in Nandi county where the burial event is supposed to take place. According to the records that her mum gave out, Tirop was born on 23rd October 1995. This is the same date which she will be laid to rest and it is so sad. We hope that the family will get peace during this tempting period. Rest In peace Tirop.
