How much money F1 drivers will be earning for the 2022 season

With all the 10 teams confirming their driver line ups for the 2022 F1 season, estimates of how much the drivers are going to earn have leaked. Considering the approximate salaries for the drivers, Formula 1 is easily the highest paying sport in the world.

The 7 - time world champion is not surprisingly the highest paid driver. The Mercedes driver who is yet to talk since the Abu Dhabi GP will be receiving $40 million for the season. Latest world champion Max Verstappen comes in second with an approximate of $25 million. Fernando Alonso comes in third with an approximate of $20 million.

Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo are estimated to be earning $15 million as the Ferrari driver Leclerc will earn $12 million. Carlos Sainz, Bottas and Lance Stroll are expected to earn $10 million for the season.

Sergio Perez from Red bull comes in at 8th with an approximated salary of $8 million. George Russel,Landon Norris, Esteban Ocon and Gasly are expected to earn $5 million for the season.Alex Albon who is making a comeback to F1 is approximately going to earn $2 million.

Guanyu Zhou who will be an Alfa Romeo driver for the season will earn about $1 million. Other drivers who are approximated to earn $1 million for the season as well are Mazepin, Latifi and Schumacher. Coming in last is the AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda who will earn about $0.75 million.

From the approximate earnings, it is clear that with more experience at the sport, the more a driver is going to earn.
