Major Setback For France As First Choice Centre Backs Hit By Illness 48 Hours To The Finals

France have been hit by a major setback after two of their senior first choice center backs have gotten an illness just 48 hours to the world cup finals. Sources have reported that both Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate have bth fallen ill casting doubt to their suitability for Sunday.

Raphael Varane has been a mainstay while Konate played the last match in the absence of Dayot Upamecano who wasn't available. Upamecano has been the first choice pairing for France. The illnesses might not be just for the two though. Some players like Adrien Rabiot missed the last match against Morocco.

France will now be left with the services of William Saliba who hasn't played a minute in this year's world cup and how will it be to get his debut in a final? Will he be able to contain the pressure? Kolo Muani will be available too. This is not looking good for the French side, hopefully they can have the players back in time.
