Opinion: Man United should sign another manager after series of bad performances by the team

Manchester United is one of the most well-known football clubs in England's Premier League. They were fearsome in their encounters under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The club has been struggling recently. This all began following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure. Since he left, they have failed to win the English Premier League. In the UEFA Champions League, the Red Devils have also been unable to reach the final.

After a string of unexpectedly poor performances in the English Premier League and other leagues, it is reasonable to conclude that the club is now and gradually declining. This was not meant to happen after United's top player "Cristiano Ronaldo" returned to Old Trafford, as United fans expected.

His comeback debut was highlighted by two goals. The following matches have not fared as well. The loss against Young Boys in the UCL and the loss against Leicester City in the EPL were among the losses recorded following that (to mention just few).

Does this imply that the club can no longer meet its previous high standards? This is something that can be blamed on the manager. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club's current manager, has not had the best of times in charge.

One would ask why Ole is still the club's manager at this moment. Since taking over as head coach, he has yet to win a trophy.

After José Mourinho was fired in 2018/19, he became the head coach after putting on an almost flawless performance.

He has brought the club the closest to winning a title in the past Europa League finals. The club, however, lost the match following the longest ever penalty shootout in the history of the UEFA Europa League final.

In comparison to the guy he replaced, Mourinho has three titles, whilst Ole has none. Varane, Sancho, and Ronaldo were all able to join Ole's United team.

One would think that with the current lineup of Manchester United stars, the squad would be formidable, but that is not the case.

The issue may not be with the players, but with the man in charge of their business. He's been the head coach for three years and hasn't accomplished anything. Last season, the team finished second in the English Premier League.

Their most recent EPL match was a loss, as they lost 4-2 to Leicester City, putting an end to their unbeaten away run. They were behind two goals to Atalanta in their UCL match yesterday before fighting back to win 3-2.

Some United supporters are upset because they believe the team has been underperforming and has been fortunate on multiple occasions.

Is Ole's time at the club coming to an end?

Is it possible for the Red Devil to find salvation under a new manager?
