Chelsea: Rudiger Confirms his Final Decision, Simeone Praises Tuchel, Tammy Building His Legacy

Antonio Rudiger

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea’s defender Antonio Rudiger does not have second thoughts about signing a new contract with Chelsea. Rudiger confirmed that he was in contact with Chelsea’s football director who expressed the club’s desire to extend his contract before the current one expires at the end of the season.

Rudiger further added that no other club has contacted him over the last few weeks and he is confident that in the next couple of weeks he will put pen to paper and extend his tenure at Stamford Bridge. Bayern Munich were recently rumored to be interested in signing the player but following Rudiger’s earlier statement, it seems that the German giants are not in a hurry to swoop the player before he is permanently tied down at Chelsea.

Tammy Abraham

Chelsea fans are now regretting letting go of Tammy Abraham who is currently breaking headlines in the Italian Serie A. Yesterday, the 23-year-old scored the only game in the fixture between AS Roma and Vicenza, to secure three points for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Jose Mourinho has since been delighted with the young striker’s performance saying that Abraham is a true gem in his team. “Abraham is everything I could ever ask for from a number nine. He has speed, strength pace, good dribbling ability, and most importantly consistency. If he continues like this throughout the remainder of the season, we will definitely achieve a lot.”

Diego Simeone

Atletico Madrid’s head coach Diego Simeone recently praised Chelsea’s strength especially under Tuchel after he said that whenever a coach plays against Chelsea, there is always the fear of losing because the Blues have evolved to become a very strong side in recent years. He said that his last encounter with Chelsea was a hard one for him because he saw how passionate the Chelsea players were in winning the match. He attributed all this to Tuchel’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.
