Arsenal: Guimaraes Snubs The Gunners, EPL Midfielder The Club is Keeping an Eye on

According to multiple reports, Arsenal are set to shift their midfield hunt away from the likes of Juventus' Arthur Melo and Lyon's Bruno Guimares after a deal for the two fell through.

In Melo's case, Edu is said to have been interested in completing a loan deal for him, but reports claim that the deal has come to a halt because Juventus, although earlier willing to agree to a loan exit for Melo, may have changed their mind due to their inability to find a replacement for his services. According to reports, Bruno Guimares, the other top target, is set to join Newcastle in a deal that has already been agreed.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to complete a deal for Ruben Neves, who they have been tracking for months, or if they are unable to price the Portuguese from Wolves, they may opt to strike a deal for Borrusia Monchengladbach's contract rebel Denis Zakaria, whom Monchengladbach have made available for £6 million as they could lose him for nothing in the summer.

With less than 6 days until the transfer window closes, Arteta and Edu must act quickly to bolster Arsenal's thin squad. This week, Arteta allegedly met with Kroenke. Let's hope that meeting paved the way for him to be granted funds for reinforcements before Monday's deadline.
