"You Are Simply Extraordinary" - FIFA Showers Praise On Dani Alves, After Winning His 44th Title

The world football governing body, FIFA has showered praise on the former Barcelona football club star, Dani Alves after he guided Brazil to an outstanding 2-1 victory over Spain for them to win 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold medal.

Daniel Alves da Silva, commonly known as Dani Alves, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for both Sao Paulo FC and the Brazil national team. 

Dani Alves was given a starting role by coaches, Andre Jardine and his performance impressed for the defending champions.

The 38 year old Dani started in Brazil's defence line alongside; Nino, Diego Carlos and Arana. The trio were all amazing in the game.

However, Matheus Cunha scored the opening goal for Brazil in the 45th minute, after receiving a fine cross from Dani Alves and end the first half with 1-0.

During the second half, Mikel Oyarzabel equalized for Spain in the 61st minute, before substitute Zenit Saint scored the winning goal in 108th minute. The match ended with 2-1.

Reacting after Dani Alves helped Brazil to win the 2021 Olympics gold medal, FIFA posted on their Twitter handle that;

"🏆 44 titles since his pro debut 20 years ago. Dani Alves, you are simply extraordinary 🪐."

Alves was exceptional for Brazil throughout the game and was able to mark his excellent performance with an assist. The 2-1 victory over Spain means Brazil have won 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold medal and Dani Alves' career trophies have also increased to 44. This is quite remarkable!
