Yesterday the country celebrated Mashujaa day in Wang'uru stadium as the president gave his speech. Kenyans were delighted with the lifting of curfew in the entire country. It was joy all over the country as kenyans celebrated. Some sportsmen and women were honoured by the nation for being good ambasadors raising the flag high abroad. One of the most talked about is Ferdinand Omanyala.
The sprinter made history by breaking kenyan 100 metres record five times in a span of less than four months. From his Olympic exploits to the Kipkeino classics where he defeated the likes of Justin Gatlin. Omanyala became the fastest man in Africa and 8th in the whole world. The 25year old Omanyala has proved that Kenya can participate in all races. It is true that he opened ways for young Kenyans abroad.
Speaking to Citizen television, the star boy said that everyone was a shujaa since waking up every day to work for the country wasn't easy. He was happy for being recognized and said that he believed that he was a shujaa . The news was posted on Viral Tea Kenya website. We wish him all the best ahead. Congratulations for being the first sprinter to be recognized as a Shujaa.
