Arsenal announced their first signing of the summer transfer window after completing a deal for Portugal left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica with the fullback penning a long-term contract with the Mikel Arteta-led side and he is expected to deputize for Kieran Tierney.
At only 21 years, Arsenal have signed one of the most exciting players in his position and while speaking during his unveiling, the supporters should really be excited by the highly-rated fullback who appears to be two-footed and has great admiration for Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.
"I am fast, I am good at shooting with my right foot, but I'm left-footed. I can dribble, improvising. That's my qualities, my technique. I have more qualities and I will find more in this club.In present, I like Emile Smith Rowe, because he is my generation. He's played against us, on the same side he played on the right, I played on the left. He's a good player, and I see Saka too. Young players, good players." Nuno said.
The arrival of Nuno will certainly see Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac who spend last season on loan with relegated Bundesliga side Schalke 04 leave the club with suitors around Italy and Turkey closely monitoring the player.
Arsenal fans can get a glimpse of their new signing when they begin their season friendlies against Hibernian and Rangers respectively with Nuno linking up with his squad for pre-season training.
