Arsenal are into the Europa League semi finals and despite being ninth in Premier League standings, they have shown great improvements.
Many fans would point at Xhaka/Partey influence in the midfield, Arteta's formation or the presence of Aubameyang as key to this turn around.
But all could be wrong at this!
The Xhaka/Partey partnership in midfield started to develop just recently while Arteta has been criticized at times for poor tactical formations.
Club captain Aubameyang has not been firing in all cylinders this season. Injuries and lack of form has left one player to prosper;
He has stepped in well in the absence of Aubameyang and taken the captaincy as well. His 17 goals in all competitions this season proves that.
He is currently undroppable in the starting XI and Arteta has praised him in the recent past.
"For me, in his style and in his development, even if he's soon turning 30 years old, he's on the right path because he's very willing to learn. He's doing things in a much better way than before ", Arteta said.
Club captain might not be happy because of this!
