Edu and Arteta are looking to bolster their defense with a flexible right back dubbed Dani Alves 2.0

Aleix Vidal was dubbed the "next Dani Alves" when he joined Barcelona because of his versatility, as he can play as a fullback, a midfielder, or a winger. He tried to make up for Alves' absence by putting in a strong shift, but everybody who knows Dani Alves understands that achieving his levels is difficult.

Fast forward, Aleix Vidal after a spell in Barcelona moved to Sevilla, where he enjoyed a successful career until his contract expired this summer. Currently Vidal is a free agent and is being evaluated by a number of clubs. According to Fichajes, Vidal is now being evaluated by Arsenal, who are looking for experienced players to help them strengthen their young squad before their upcoming season.

With Hector Bellarin rumored to be on his way out, a move for Aleix Vidal comes at an opportune time as even if Cedric Soares is deployed at right back, he will need a backup, which is where Vidal comes in.

Is Aleix Vidal going to be Arteta's wildcard signing this summer after completing other significant signings? Please share your ideas in the comments section below. (source - Fichajes)
