African Football Teams Should Hire Local African Coaches As Locals Shine In The World Cup Qualifiers

African local coaches shined so much in the African 2022 world cup qualifiers. Out of the five teams that will represent the continent, four out of five teams are led by African coaches. This should be an eye-opener for African football that we need to trust our coaches and support them fully. There has been a habit of trusting foreigners more than our local coaches. These coaches are:

1. Aliou Cisse.

He guided Senegal national team to qualify for the world cup as his team beat Egypt 3-1 in penalty shoots. A month ago, he also guides them to win their first African Cup of Nations. He has developed great stars who are now world-class. Players like Sadio Mane.

2. Rigobert Song.

The Cameroon legend was appointed after Cameroon failed to lift the African Cup of Nations that was held in Cameroon. Football president Samuel Etoo appointed him. He qualified dramatically as his team beat Algeria 2-1 in the dying minutes of the extra game.

3. Otto Addo.

He is the head coach of Ghana. He led his team to qualify after they drew 1-1 draw and qualified on the away goal.

4. Jalel Kadri.

Kadri is the local coach of Tunisia. He guided his team to qualify after beating Mali 1-0.
