Belgium recorded a humiliating defeat to morocco on sunday. This has put them on a high risk of being eliminated at group stage level with only 2018 runner's up Croatia left to play.
Reports have indicated that the loss could be caused by poor performance in the midfield especially from their main man Kevin De Bruyne. Anyone could tell that his performance during the day as he lost the ball many times.
This also caused a slam by the Belgian media press. For instance, a media with the website HLN slammed him on their headlines writing, "He lost the ball 27 times". Another media also wrote, "Can anyone shake De Bruyne awake?"
There has been mutual mistrust in the Belgian camp as players have been seen blaming one another. De Bruyne earlier said that the team cannot lift the world cup trophy because they are too old to win it. These words were stressed by teammate Jan Vertoghen but were denied by coach Roberto Martinez.
