Nick Mwendwa and team removed from FKF

On recommendations of the inspection committee mandated to do an audit of the Football Kenya Federation, Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed has formed a caretaker committee to run the Federation, chaired by retired judge Aaron Ringera.

The CS, who had on Thursday morning received the audit report on FKF from Sports Registrar Rose Wasike, acted swiftly, naming the caretaker committee.

The 15 member committee includes General (Rtd) Moses Oyugi, Fatma Adan, Philip Musyimi, Anthony Isayi, Elisha Kiplagat and Hassan Haji.

Other are Fredrick Tureisa, Mwangi Muthee, Neddy Atieno, Ali Amour, Titus Kasuve, Richard Omwela, Bobby Ogolla and JJ Masiga.

The committee has a six-month mandate to ”clean up the mess” at the FKF. The move now leaves Nick Mwendwa in a tight balance.

The decision comes hours as the national team Harambee stars is preparing to square it out with Uganda cranes this afternoon a a world cup qualifier match at St Mary’s stadium in Entebbe.

The highly anticipated match will starts at 4:00pm EAT.
