Harambee stars captain Michael Ogada Olunga and Joash Onyango arrived in the country safely ahead of the World Cup qualifiers match against Mali. The experienced Onyango and Olunga were seen in the team's evening warm up on Sunday. The mood was clearly good as the players were put through their paces by Engin Firat.
Joash Onyango makes a come back after he was initially omitted by the former Harambee stars coach Jacob Ghost Mulee. Onyango who plys his trade with Tanzanian league title winners recovered from knee injury to feature for the side in the preseason in Morroco where the team was camping. On the other hand, Michael Olunga will be expected to lead the attack with another striker as his striker partner Masoud Juma is injured. Either, Eric Kapaito or Sydney Lokale could fill the gap left by Juma.
The team will fly to Morocco today in the evening as they look to make a surprise visit to the North African giants Mali with a win. Firat had initially vowed to come back to the country with a good result. We wish the team all the best ahead.
