Italian powerhouse Lazio have today announced the appointment of former Chelsea Manager Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach, with the Italian tactian agreeing a contract with the club until June 2023.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Maurizio sarri has just signed a contract with Lazio until June 2023. The former Juventus manager is set to replace Simone Inzaghi who left the club after a five years at the helm to join rivals Inter Milan.
Maurizio sarri Joined Chelsea in 2018, and went on to be a big hit in England as he inspired the blues to a third finish in the Premeir league and the Europa league crown, but left the club after only one season.
The 62 year old has a good CV in Italian football, having spent 3 years with Napoli in 2015-2018 helping the club to a second finish twice and during his recent season long tenure at Juventus where he led the old lady's to a Scudetto in 2019/2020 campaign and hence proving he is the right man to lead Lazio back to Glory.
