Arsenal fans have requested Mikel Arteta never to bench this star player after having an impressive performance against Leicester City. Arsenal defeated Leicester 3-1 thanks to goals from Lacazette, Nicholas Pepe and David Luiz.
Bellerin was left on the bench and instead Cedrick given the rare chance to start. The former Southampton player impressed on the right back. He's defensive game was impressive compared to Bellerin who has been castigated by Arsenal fans for poor defending.
Cedric looked calm on the ball with his general output being appreciated. Arsenal fans have praised him in the following ways;
@TheCorkneyfTurk Cedrick has played well again today
@Ryancurl7 Starts over Bellerin for me. So much more comfortable on the ball
@MoMatt2 Yea, his confidence is growing. Distribution has improved. He gets my vote
@jordoarsenal16 Cedric over bellerin absolutely every single day of the week that shouldn’t even be a discussion anymore
@Aromatic should never be benched by Mikel Arteta
@westryer Cedrick helping him on the right too. Impressive game from him.
@TalkingArse So many big performances today. Perhaps not as eye catching as others but Cedric has made a big difference at right back
@arshleybxtr Cedrick been absolutely brilliant once again. There should be no scenario, other than him being fatigued or injured, where Bellerin starts ahead of him.
