Blackburn Rovers kept their hopes of reaching the Championship play-offs alive with a commanding 4-1 win over Lancashire rivals Preston North End at Deepdale, ending their five-game winless run in the league.

It was clear to see in the early stages which team still had something to play for, and which was destined for a mid-table finish, as 'Rovers' made a fast start. However, Rovers restored their two-goal cushion when Joe Rothwell's free-kick into the area picked out Darragh Lenihan, and the captain lifted his header over Daniel lversen and into the right corner to make it 3-1 at half time.
Fulham continues to lead with 87 point followed by Bournemouth position 2 with 78 point, Huddersfield position 3 with 76 point, Nottingham position 4 with 73 point, Luton Town position 5 with 72 point and Sheffield United position 6 with 69 point respectively.
