The Carabao League Cup match against West Ham United at Old Trafford was a disappointing game for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Manchester United team who lost it in front of the home fans.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made several changes to the squad that faced the Hammers over the weekend with Dean Henderson, Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek, Antony Martial and Eric Bailly getting the first starts in the new season.
Some Manchester United players never impressed in the match, but Donny Van De Beek put in one of the best performances.
He was running everywhere in the pitch as he distributed balls perfectly, attacked well, linked up with his teammates and also defended greatly.
This impressive shift got Manchester United praise Donny Van De Beek as they urged Ole not to bench him yet again as he deserves more starts.
Take a look at some of the reactions from Manchester United fans:
Javier: "Donny, Lindelof, Bailly, Matic and Dalot where all good today Lingard was decent. Martial, Telles and Sancho where shockingly bad."
