Premier league giants Arsenal will attempt another raid on spanish giants Barcelona for their left back Junior Firpo after seeing their bid in the January transfer period rebuffed.
Mikel Arteta had admitted the gunners were active in the just closed window and were said to be looking for a left back who could deputize for Kieran Tierney.
Mikel has been forced to play Cedric Soares, a right footed player in the left back role with Tierney still out and the Portugal fullback has proven a worthy deputy.
Kieran, is Arsenal's first choice left back but their are growing concerns about his injury nightmares and with Sead Kolasinac loaned to Schalke, the gunners approached Barcelona for Firpo.
The former Real Betis left back has struggled for game time under Ronald Koeman and was open to the prospect of joining the gunners to boost his euro call-up chances with Spain.
Reports indicate that the gunners will test Barcelona's bid for Firpo again in the summer with hope they can iron out a deal and land the spanish youth international.
