This weekend has had one of the most goals scored this season. Teams went all out for vital points to move up the league standings. There have been several shock defeats of big clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United who lost to Arsenal and Aston Villa respectively.
Tottenham Hotspur also lost in the hands of Jurgen Kloop's Liverpool by two goals to one. This match saw Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah score twice and Harry Kane grabbing one of his own for Spurs. Arsenal re took top position in the table after beating Graham Potter's Chelsea by a single goal. They now sit first of the table ahead of Manchester City side who also won against a stabbon Fulham. Pep's troops had to leave it late to win by a penalty from their striker Erling Haaland in added time.
The gab at the top of the standings is by a narrow two points. Newcastle United are a surprise team to find in the top four, but their good form has really helped them get this far. They next face Chelsea at home in what will be a big game for both teams who aspire to be in the top four.
