With this weekend being the last one ahead of the international break, every footballer was looking forward to impress for his club before leaving for the national team duties.Harambee stars and England based forward Jonah Ayunga did not disappoint as he scored his first goal for his new club Morecambe in a 4-3 loss to Wycombe Wanderers.
Ayunga's goal was the sixth goal of the match and came in the 80th minute only 3 minutes after being introduced in the matches as a substitute for Arthur Gnahoua in the 77th minute.
Ayunga's Morecambe led by two goals at half time through Alfie McCalmont and Adam Phillips goals which came in the 4th and 26th minutes.Wycombe Wanderers were quick to respond in the second half as they came back with three goals which came through Dary Horgan, Sam Vokes and Ryan Tafazolli in the 50th, 53rd and 73rd minutes respectively.
Ayunga levelled for Morecambe but Curtis Thompson scored the winner for Wycombe Wanderers in the 90+2 minutes.This loss leaves Morecambe in the 13th position of England league one table with 14 points from 11 matches.
