Spain has advanced to the Quarter finals after thrashing Croatia 5-3 in a contested game that saw the both teams head to extra time after a resounding comeback by the Croatia side. The goals by Mislav Orsic and Mario Pasalic on the 85th minute and the 92nd minute saw the game end in a draw at the end of normal time. This was really a down moment for Spain as they were two goals ahead which could have given them a victory without necessarily going for extra time.
Spain has once again shown world-class football as they keep their eyes on the price. Alvaro Morta Kept Spain ahead in the 100th minute before Mikel Oyarzabal scored in the 103rd minute to give Spain a comfortable win. Unai Simon who earlier made a mistake that saw Croatia get a first early goal through a back pass from Pedri in the 20th minute made crucial saves that denied the Croatia team a goal that could otherwise have changed and impacted the game differently.
