Diamond League: Faith Kipyegon, The Queen Of 1500M Has Polished Her Crown In Zurich

Faith Kipyegon outdid Sifan Hassan to win the 1500 metres women's finals in Zurich last evening with a time of 3:58:33. Faith Kipyegon proved to be too strong for Sifan Hassan who also put in a good fight but Faith crossed the line first and fast. The double Olympic champion in the 1500 metres is now the Diamond League champion.

"Diamond League champion," Faith captioned a photo where she is standing next to her trophy holding the beautiful Kenyan flag.

Other Kenyan and athletes who have made Kenya proud in the Diamond League finals in Zurich are:

1. Emmanuel Korir and Ferguson Rotich who won Gold and Silver respectively in the men's 800 metres finals.

2. Benjamin Kigen the silver medalist in Tokyo Olympic, clinched Gold last evening in Zurich and proved that indeed Kenyan's are the men to respect in the 3000 metres steeplechase.

3. Timothy Cheruiyot is now a four times (consecutively) Diamond League champion in the men's 1500 metres race.

Congratulations to these ladies and gentlemen for representing Kenya proudly and well in the Zurich Diamond League finals. Champions look like them.
