The FIFA World Cup group stages are almost over and there are some teams that are going through and their are others who will be heading home. Teams like Qatar, Wales, Iran, Tunisia, Ecuador, Canada and Saudi Arabia have been eliminated from the tournament. Today there could be more teams being eliminated as the final games of the respective group stages draws to an end.
The fist game is Canada play Morocco. Canada have already been eliminated, they sit last in the group with zero points, having failed to win any match in the FIFA World Cup.
Croatia and Belgium play. This could be the last chance for Belgium, as they sit third place in group F with three points. Belgium will be needing nothing less than a win to qualify.
Costa Rica face Germany. Germany sit in fourth place in group E with only one point. They must win their last match against Costa Rica to have any chance of qualification. They will also be needing Spain to win against Japan, so a lot is riding on this match.
Japan face Spain. Spain begun their world cup campaign to a good start after they beat Costa Rica 7-0 and then after drew with Germany 1-1. They will surely be the favourites in this match and needing a win or a draw against Japan to qualify.
