Manchester United signed Casemiro at the beginning of the season after missing out Frenkie de Jong. It seemed as though the Red Devils was settling for less considering that the Brazilian defensive midfielder is 30-years-old. The €70.65m price tag did not help either.
However, Casemiro has proved both his doubters and critics wrong. He has played a critical role in Man Utd’s resurgence this season. A video posted on twitter by @UnitedFaithfuls proves that Casemiro is the right man for the Red Devils.
In the short clip, Casemiro is seen pushing the team doctor on the sidelines, showing how eager he was to get back on the pitch to help his teammates during the Manchester Derby. The fans were impressed by Casemiro, many saying that it is the kind of passion that Man Utd had missed.
Since his summer arrival, Casemiro has established himself as one of the team's top players and has been crucial to their success this year. The linchpin has contributed with two goals and four assists in addition to his lauded defensive play.
