Manchester United have not made it a secret that they are in search of a new right back in the summer. Aaron Wan Bissaka is most likely to leave the club in the foreseeable future as he does not fit within Ten Hag’s ideals in that position. Diogo Dalot on the other hand has been far more impressive and has even exceeded expectations of the Dutch manager in that role which means that he is more likely to stay beyond this season.
“Benjamin Pavard is closely being monitored by not less than 6 clubs. He has not been on his best form since joining Bayern and that is understandable by some degree since Nagelsmann has numerous options within his squad. The situation regarding his contract puts him in a position of an easy exit in the summer. The question is where does he prefer to leave to?” Sky Sport correspondent David Ornstein wrote in a recent publication.

Manchester United have of course been linked with a move for the fullback but it’s his price tag that has made Richard Arnold shy of pursuing him. Bayern Munich have reported slapped a €40 Million price tag on the defender’s back and they are willing to let him go in January or the summer.

My opinion
Wan Bissaka’s time at Old Trafford is way overdue and there is no chance of a contract renewal once the current one expires. His involvement in the starting eleven will be censored for the second half of the season as Ten Hag will be investing all his energy in priming Diogo Dalot in the right back position. No offers have been tabled so far, but soon are expected to flow once the winter transfer window opens.

Pavard has all the qualities of a top tier right back and his experience could even push Dalot a notch higher in reawakening his talent. As per numerous sources, Pavard is looking for a way out of Bayern and could easily turn his attention to the Premier League if considerable interest is directed towards him. Hopefully Manchester United have the zest to sign the Frenchman in January.
