EPL Current Table Standing After Man United Beat Man City 2-1 And Brighton Beat Liverpool 3-0

Manchester United smashed their neighbours Manchester City 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in an interesting game played at Old Trafford. These three valuable points saw United close the gap on their City rivals to just one, leapfrogging Newcastle United into third place. This left the two Manchester clubs five and six points behind league leaders, Arsenal respectively.

A big change in EPL table standings also happened after Brighton smashed Liverpool 3-0 at home ground. Jurgen Klopp worst season continued manifesting itself even after signing Cody Gakpo this January. Brighton are now seventh with 30 points while Liverpool are 8th with 28 points. Tottenham are still fifth with 33 points. In their next game, they will face Arsenal who lead with 44 points.

Chelsea remains in position 10 with 25 points. The race in the relegation zone is also becoming interesting. Wolverhampton beat West Ham United 1-0 to rise out of the relegation zone while West ham dropped down to position 18. Southampton remains in the last position with 15 points despite beating Everton 2-1.
